Which professor did you meet? I have read similar things from other students. However, I went to their admitted students day on March 6th where I interacted with 6 professors and found them to be very congenial and interesting.

I have the exact same question in the same department, although with Columbia, UC Berkeley, U Michigan, Emory, and UNC. It might come down to Columbia and Berkeley though...

I have heard from friends that they have a huge emphasis on social justice so that's a giant plus in my book. They also have great faculty. Plus, it's NYC. You will have a tons of options to network and find internships/jobs.

Hi! I plan on taking the GRE in couple of months from now. I have been preparing on and off for the past month and plan on resuming again next month. I just have been having a lot of problems concentrating on it by myself. I was wondering if anybody is aware of groups that study together over the Internet with video chat? Or could anybody tell me how to find a study partner or group in NYC for GRE prep? Unfortunately, I'm no longer in a university to look for such a group or have friends that are also taking the GRE.
