hi guys,
i applied to Purdue university for spring 2010 admissions for Masters in Computer Science.
I submitted my application on Sep 19th, 2009 and it's already been almost 20 days and i haven't still herd at-least from the CS department that ,if i am recommended for admission to the Graduate school. The Departmental website says, that the formal decisions from the graduate school will be out after October 15th.
My concern here is, Purdue graduate school can offer admission decisions, only after the department recommends the applicant for admission.
The status of the online application indicates that my application is under review. Well, technically speaking if i had been accepted ,i should have been recommended for admission by the department for the graduate school by this time, since the graduate school takes 2 weeks after the recommendation of the candidate by the department for making formal admission decisions.I came to know by my friends that , Purdue university uses rolling admission process.
I wrote to the department, and no one responds to it. I did call them, and the crazy lady says that " We can't say anything now and all the decisions will be posted on your online application".I don't think she really got the gravity of the situation here.
So is this slowly leading my application to the usual, long wait and then reject process.?
I have been offered admission from 2 other schools for the same program. So guys what should i do now? should i accept the offer of admission from any of the other schools and start my VISA application process, or should i wait until Purdue gives it's decision.?
If you were in my position, what were you doing.?
Guys please give some logical opinions, because i am really confused now....
Thanks in advance..
