Hey Everybody, did anyone apply to the Lark's Jerome New York Fellowship? I did this week, but no confirmation email was sent from them... just checking to see if this was the case for other people. I sent them a note 4/16 last year about application status and they let me know decisions had just been made that day.

Singsalot, do you feel like you can contact them? I went crazy last year waiting on Iowa and finally just emailed them.

I debated long and hard about applying to the hbo thing. The release FREAKED ME OUT. Didn't end up doing it...

Hi Barista, I got an email from them on 4/15. Just re-read it. It was a vague email saying my play was still under consideration and that even though semi-finalists and finalists had been chosen, the admission process was still continuing - may or may not be called for an interview. So... not a semi-finalist or finalist but somewhere else in the pool of consideration. Got the rejection 5/1.

Hello All, I was active on this board last year having applied to Iowa, Yale, Brown and Juilliard. Rejected from Brown (expected) and Iowa, received nice letter from Yale about applying again, made it to second round at Juilliard. This year, it's only Juilliard. The process last year made me realize that I don't want to leave NYC. @Lavendercloud: I do have a question about Juilliard and it's process... have they ever accepted anyone in their 40's? Because that's me. Late to playwriting and have been lucky so far with productions, award, last year I was a finalist for a Jerome fellowship. But after everything shook out in 2014, I wondered if I had been aged out of being really considered for the fully funded programs. Or maybe it's just sour grapes! Who knows. Ultimately, not something controllable, but curious none-the-less.

After sending an email to Iowa for a status update, I got a reply last night saying that decisions had just been made, and that I wasn't accepted. Very pleasant, well wishing note. Relieved to finally know... was getting a bit crazy about that one.

I got an email saying that I'm still under consideration at at Juilliard! Wording was weird, I'm not a semifinalist or a finalist but under consideration. Which is fine!

I've heard nothing from Juilliard or Iowa...
