With such records, I should say that they could admit you. I think that if your Quant score was above 168 AND/OR if your UNDERGRAD GPA was above 3.8, now you were admitted by Columbia. Anyway, your records are good enough to be admitted in a prestigious program . . .

It was good but not great! There is no other news for me. The interview was Jan 23 but I have not heard anything from that time. Does this mean that I have not been successful in impressing them to admit me?!

Stay strong and hopeful of other schools. Columbia is very competitive. what is your GPA and GRE?

If you look at the result page or even this thread, you will see that some people have received their acceptances. But, I guess, people like me and you will be rejected until the end of this week because it seems that Berkeley has notified all accepted applicants around two weeks ago . . .

They usually send out acceptances around Feb 15 but they send out rejections around March, 1

With the start of the second week of February, we can expect to hear from more programs. Based on the previous years results, Industrial Engineering programs have started sending out their decisions around Feb. 15 I think that UC Berkeley will reject those who have not received an offer (like me) until Feb 14. I hope best of luck for all.

I can see in the result page that someone has posted an acceptance from UC Berkeley. Does anyone in this thread know something in this relation? I have also applied for UC Berkeley but I have not heard anything. As far as I know, UC Berkely sends out acceptances and rejections near Feb 15 but Jan 31 is a little soon for this school to send out an acceptance

I had applied for USC (IE) and I can see my status has changed to: Your file has been forwarded to the academic department for review and an admission decision. You may check this system periodically for updates, and if the academic department renders an admission decision, you will be contacted. Has anyone else applied here?

Hello everyone! I have a question! I have retaken GRE at 01/07/2014 and today I received my official scores. My new score is : verbal: No Score Quant: 170 AW: 4.0 My previous score was: verbal: 163 Quant: 168 AW: 3.5 How universities treat my scores?! I have left verbal section blank because I thought I cannot enhance my previous score. Will institution consider my best scores in each section or they will only consider my old test because it had all three scores?

The deadline for some programs was between December 1 to December 15 and this would not be strange to receive an interview from such programs specially for strong applicants (Not Me!)

Has anyone received an interview?! Any other news from universities?!
