Congrats! I was accepted for painting. I talked with Gregory Amenoff, he said we'll be contacted by the financial aid peeps soon.
Talked with a first year grad in the program about funding, said that most get some type of scholarships/fellowship/work study, cutting the tuition in half... But who knows if any of this is accurate.
Hi pupik,
I was called last Monday for an interview, I applied to painting though the mfa program is interdisciplinary they categorize by department for the admissions process. Interviews are being held March 13th& 15th, whether those dates are just for those who applied to painting or the entire program I don't know. Good luck!
I finalized my Columbia University interview, March 13th decided to do in person. Does anyone know how many they interview for painting? It's an interdisciplinary program but for admission purposes they divide applicants by department, they are interviewing for 9 spots for painters.
Columbia University interview request, got a call from Gregory Amenoff chair of the visual arts department. So if you get a call from a 917 number, answer it : )
After 4 rejections I had little hope for the remaining two. Good luck to everyone!
Sorry to hear that, but I feel ya. Got rejected from Yale, rejection doesn't feel great, at least we know. What program did you apply for at Tyler? If you don't mind me asking.
Onward and upward.
I can't decide which is worse, the application process or waiting to hear back... Best of luck to everyone and congrats to those already receiving good news!
