If it is a two year program, yes.
Anecdotally, my friends who have gone to McGill (PoliSci and History) both applied and ultimately got SSHRC, but were only successful once they were in the second year of their program. I think with two year programs, departments tend to prioritize second year students.

Congrats! I just got my admission from there today, as well. I'm still waiting on Balsillie's MGA and NPSIA's MA.
I'd also love to hear what people thought about Queen's. Anecdotally, some of my friends who have done McGill's MA haven't found it to be an entirely positive experience.
