Newcomer here! I applied to PSU & had a phone interview but haven't heard back yet! Getting nervous!

I was put on the CalArts photo mfa waitlist. Frustrating, but much more welcome than a rejection!

I can't believe I still haven't heard back from CalArts Photo! I'm trying to be patient but it's really hard! What are people doing to cope with the waiting?

Rejected to USC got a letter in the mail today.

Yes SMFA for sure. SFAI doesn't have as great a reputation as SMFA does.

I was interviewed last week, and waiting for a decision in CalArts photo program. I emailed admissions and apparently they'll be sending out more decisions over the next two weeks. It sounds like some people heard already and a lot are still waiting...

TOTALLY, yes! I am going over my answers which I thought were amazing, now realizing where I could've done better. No point of agonizing, just taking notes for the next time I have to speak about my work & goals... Practice makes perfect, right?

My USC application status now says this: -YOU WILL RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF YOUR ADMISSION DECISION SOON VIA POSTAL MAIL. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS PROVIDES FINAL DECISION NOTIFICATIONS BY LETTER ONLY. WE DO NOT DISCLOSE ADMISSION DECISIONS VIA E-MAIL, TELEPHONE, OR ANY OTHER MEANS. Hope this helps clarify something about this very elusive program! Good luck to the chosen 8!

Thanks Bunny. Waiting is the worst! Other folks have been getting notifications, I'm trying to do yoga to calm my nerves. Congrats on your acceptances!

Which CalArts program did you apply for & when did you find out you were wait listed? I'm anxious about my status. Did an MFA photo interview on campus last Thursday but haven't heard anything yet...

Haven't heard a peep from USC. I went to their open studios a month or so ago. The students work was VERY conceptual. Admissions is obviously looking for quite a specific applicant to accept. I'm curious to know who will make the cut!

Hi y'all, I've been following the forum for a while, and thought I'd say hi. I attended CalArts MFA interview last week, and was wondering if anyone has heard back from admissions. I saw on the Grad Cafe Survey that someone was accepted to the Photo and related media program via the website. Is the website the application one, or the VIP cal arts page? Any news about CalArts MFA would be great. Thanks!
