Unless I am mistaken, 2014-2015 is actually last year's competition. Ours will be marked as 2015-2016, as that's the school year in which this competition's awards will be distributed.

Thanks for all the support and info re wait listing everyone! Perhaps the inconsistency in awards winning scores is due to the award allocation per university? So if one university had a competitive year a 10.5 may not have made the cut, but at another, less competitive institution a lower score could have been successful?

From what it looks like, York has started working down the wait list -- so those of us that didn't get in on the first round may be hearing word over the next few days. Best of luck to everyone waiting to hear back.

Congrats!! That's so exciting!  Seriously, sometimes all you need to do is email and the results are just waiting for you .

I'm not sure what my first choice is at this point - probably tied Queen's/York! 

I was hoping to do work with Professor Barbara Cameron and Professor Karen Bridget Murray at York. What about you?

 

Yes, very excited, and you must be as well! I hope to work with David McNally, Asher Horowitz, and Martin Breaugh. Seriously, York's Poli Sci dept is so so great for theory.. (especially if you like critical theory/continental thought as oppose to strictly liberalism/normative theory) did my undergrad there and am looking forward to returning!

Thank you! I heard through email from Jlenya Sarra (one of the grad assistants) - said in the email I've been offered admission and will hear from the Graduate Program Director with a formal letter outlining the financial offer shortly. I checked MyFile and it still says "No Decision Yet" so they must not have updated their system, just sending out emails with admission notice.

Thanks for the tip, emailed and was told I would also be receiving a formal offer of admission! Major stream political theory as well. Is York your first choice and who in particular are you hoping to work with?

Doing my MA at U of T currently, but going to York for PhD in the fall (accepted into SPT, waiting still on Poli Sci)! York, and those departments in particular, are much more appropriate for my research interests (Critical theory/German Idealism/Historical Materialism), but its been great to spend some time at U of T! Good luck! Who are you hoping to work with/study in particular?

Last year I was notified of acceptance into the MA program by email on March 1st, and the PhDs got notified the week earlier I believe.

Received MA results from them first week of march last year, so I'm hoping to hear back in the next few weeks (but of course am irrationally checking myfile several times daily)!

My school informed me that I was forwarded (before Christmas), but I have yet to receive the confirmation email from SSHRC. Is anyone else in the same situation?
