  1. It's still my number one choice, as it's in state for me and a really good program. I'm hesitant to say for sure that I'm going there given the opportunities I was offered at other Universities, but I took a lot of notes while I was there and I'd be happy to tell you everything I wrote down!

Hi Katydidnt93, I'd love to hear more about your impressions if possible. I just got accepted two days ago so I wasn't invited to the open house and don't know a lot about the program. Were there any specific opportunities you were offered at other schools that you don't feel were as strong at UMD? Did you get the same impression as clmogel about their heavy emphasis on research?

  2. I interviewed for funding but didn't get any (boo) but I saw on the results page that someone with funding is turning it down. Does that mean there might be a chance still? Do schools reallocate funding?

You should ask the school. I know that some schools, like Emerson, do. And schools like MGH don't, unfortunately.

  3. I'm having a hard time with MGH and Emerson. I got a fellowship at Emerson and the fact that it is a small, supportive community is a big plus. But I'm interested in working in a medical setting, so I feel like MGH might be a better choice. I'm probably going to the open houses, so if any of you are going I'll see you there!
  4. Yup, I got it too... posted about it in the other thread. So confusing.. I'm just gonna assume they sent it to all applicants so as not to give myself any false hope!

Oops, didn't see your post! That's probably a good idea. It seems kind of mean of them to send it to all applicants, haha. I hope we hear back from them soon.

  5. I really hope they are doing acceptances in batches because I haven't seen any rejections yet... They should really do it all at the same time!

Don't stress out too much! They definitely do it in batches, it's on their catalogue: "Emerson College follows a modified rolling admission process. Applications are reviewed as they become complete, and decisions are mailed on an ongoing basis. Most applicants will receive a decision six to eight weeks after the application deadline."
