  1. Thanks so much to both of you, that was very helpful
  2. Hi Katydidnt93, I'd love to hear more about your impressions if possible. I just got accepted two days ago so I wasn't invited to the open house and don't know a lot about the program. Were there any specific opportunities you were offered at other schools that you don't feel were as strong at UMD? Did you get the same impression as clmogel about their heavy emphasis on research?
  3. You should ask the school. I know that some schools, like Emerson, do. And schools like MGH don't, unfortunately.
  4. Yeah, it looks like on edfind only 4 out of 30 got funding. I plan on hopefully going to the open house, I can PM you about it afterward if you'd like
  5. I was just admitted as well! Are you planning to go to the open house? Unfortunately the tuition seems pretty high...
  6. I'm having a hard time with MGH and Emerson. I got a fellowship at Emerson and the fact that it is a small, supportive community is a big plus. But I'm interested in working in a medical setting, so I feel like MGH might be a better choice. I'm probably going to the open houses, so if any of you are going I'll see you there!
  7. Nevermind. Just got the CU Boulder decision. WRGP is pretty appealing...
  8. Oops, didn't see your post! That's probably a good idea. It seems kind of mean of them to send it to all applicants, haha. I hope we hear back from them soon.
  9. Did anyone just get a confusing open house invitation from CU Boulder? The form to RSVP says it's for admitted and waitlisted students only but my application is still under review on the portal
  10. I just got a call, didn't get any funding though.
  11. Does anyone know if there is even really a market for non-Spanish speakers? My Spanish is not too good but I am trilingual in Mandarin and French. I ended up only applying to Teacher's College for their bilingual extension but it doesn't seem like there's a big need in the field for non-Spanish speakers.
  12. Don't stress out too much! They definitely do it in batches, it's on their catalogue: "Emerson College follows a modified rolling admission process. Applications are reviewed as they become complete, and decisions are mailed on an ongoing basis. Most applicants will receive a decision six to eight weeks after the application deadline."
  13. Yeah, I checked in the morning and didn't have anything. They are probably just doing it in waves.
