Check FSU online pre-reqs. I completed all my CSD pre-reqs with FSU online. As for the ASHA-required science classes, I did my biology and chemistry with MGH ( will take statistic this summer) online and the rest of the requirements are covered thru my undergrad.

Hi all, I know it is quite early to ask this but I feel like networking is very important in this field or in any field. Although I still have some schools that have not sent me any result yet, I already decided to attend MGH this fall. I am wondering if anyone here has already made the decision to attend MGH like me at this early stage, I would like to create a FB page for us to connect and meet each other. If any of you already decided to attend MGH, do you still have MGH/ Asha-required pre-reqs to complete? I have 1 ASHA-required class (statistics) to finish and maybe 1 sociology class (if the school doesn't approve the classes I took in undergrad). I am just wondering where will you complete the classes? MGH online pre-reqs classes or somewhere else cheaper? Thanks!

I am not sure when MGH will finish contacting accepted students. The pre-4/15 answer was specifically to the funding question. So accepted students might still have chance getting funding notice before 4/15. Really don't know how this admission/funding process works but I will keep waiting to receive the financial packet.

Thanks! Yes, I asked about the financial aids. The professor said that they already gave out some money the first round (not sure what it means...) but there will be more funding coming in and they will notify accepted students before 4/15.

Has anyone been accepted yet? I got a phonecall this morning from a professor saying that I am accepted but when I check my portal, it is not updated yet. Just want to make sure that I am not the only one whose portal is not updated but received the phonecall.

I see. I guess the mail probably just got delayed because of the weather. It will arrive soon. :-) Btw, do you know if students need to complete all ASHA-required science classes before matriculation? How about 25 observation hours? I still have a couple classes and 10 hours to finish. The letter doesn't address anything about it so I just assume that I can complete those later. Is that right?

I would love to attend NEU open house but I live in San Francisco, and very unlikely that I will fly out again until April. Would you mind telling me more after you attend the open house? I would love to hear your insights about the schools, since you must have also toured BU and Emerson. If you wouldn't mind, we can connect on FB, which make this conversation more personal. :-) Yes, I have received the acceptance mail from NEU. The school sent out on 2/20 ( I received the electronic acceptance notice on the portal on 2/19), and it arrived on 2/23, the day I flew back from the East Coast. My acceptance is "conditional" due to the missing official transcripts. Is yours too, "conditional"? I am going to PM you my FB info. so you can add me if you like.

Hi Phaedra! Thank you for this detailed description. Could you also connect me to this current grad student? It seems like that we both applied to all the 4 schools in Boston and haven't heard back from them yet, except Northeastern. I didn't attend the open house because I was interviewing at BU and Emerson that weekend. After receiving the letter, I took more serious thought about attending to Northeastern. It is always nice to hear some insights from others. PS. How did you make the stats under your post which says GPA, GRE, applied schools etc. -Kathleen
