Are there any people from the Chicago area currently in the application/interview stage for the Practicum/Externship process? I'm currently applying for Diagnostic Practicum and wanted someone to share in my stress besides my cohort members So, do share your experiences. I am applying for 8 site and was offered an interview for 1 site yesterday. It's my number 4 practicum site, so I'm pretty darn excited.

I disagree with the statement "Chicago School isn't a school", however outside of a certificate I would not get anything else in online form from anywhere. Yes its a school ....... depending on the branch the programs are really good. I have two post masters certificates and am currently pursuing my PsyD at the Chicago branch of the Chicago School which is Great !!! If it was crap I would say so believe me. Don't believe everything u hear experience it for yourself and see what fits.

I asked during interviews what type of students are usually admitted. I was told usually student with masters degrees (which I have one) they are looking for a willingness to learn and further their education. They aren't looking for someone who wants to come and teach the courses.

You really should ask yourself why u want to pursue a PhD/PsyD..... you may be able to obtain your educational and career goals with just a masters. I'm not complete sold that you are that dedicated to your education.
