So where is everyone from (ımmıgratıon-wıse), and what school are you attendıng/ do you want to attend? I'm from Jamaica, and I'll be studying Economic and political development at Columbıa next year.
I wonder why it's so difficult to find info on Soros acceptance stats and stuff! I'd just like some blog or something that talks about the interview etc, since I feel so blind haha
I applied too, and I totally second the feeling that I'm not as fancy as the current fellows. I'm also not doing law or medicine, so we'll see if that helps or hurts! I'm more curious than nervous, though. One more month(ish) until we find out! It's also kind of a bummer that the Soros Fellowship threads aren't as active as the other fellowships
Hey Matt! I received the ETA award to Turkey for this year, and I've been accepted to grad school too! Most schools let you defer for a year (especially if they know it's a fulbright) so you should ask the coordinator of the program what their protocol is. My program let me defer, so I suspect that's an option for you too!
Hey everyone! Fulbright Turkey also released decisions today and I found out that I'm an alternate! It somehow feels like I'm in the exact same position I was before I got the email lol
I was planning on just lurking here forever, but I figured I should say something.... On the official Fulbright website it says we won't find out until Jan 31st whether or not we've been recommended. http://us.fulbrightonline.org/about/competition-timeline
