  1. I'm a current Fletcher student, and my experience is that the notion that being in Medford will handicap you in terms of internships/jobs isn't nearly as true as you might think. Employment statistics are roughly equivalent and people who go without internships between first and second years are unheard of. If you like Fletcher most as a program, don't let the fear of not getting an internship or a job stop you.
  2. I am a current MALD student at Fletcher. While the MALD is intended to be a professional program, I don't think it will close the door to a career in academia. If that is your goal, I wouldn't recommend getting your PhD here, since the doctoral program is not intended to produce academics, however plenty of MALD grads go on to academic careers.
  3. I'll repost from another thread: My wife got her DPhil at Oxford and was disappointed. Little contact with her adviser and almost no teaching experience. She said that it prepared her for producing extremely obscure academia and not much else. That being said, Clarendon scholarships are absurdly prestigious, so that might be worth something in and of itself.
  4. My wife got her DPhil at Oxford and was disappointed in the experience. D Phil candidates enjoy very little contact with their advisers and you get little or no teaching experience. An Oxford education teaches you to produce obscure academia and little else.
  5. I'll take a look at it if you upload it here or PM it to me.
