  1. Waitlisted at Notre Dame. Suprised and grateful, and hoping against hope. Nice email from Dr. Kelsey.
  2. Random question: A year ago today, Notre Dame started sending out acceptances. Anyone have any guesses when they might send them out this year? I know they were two weeks late with their first wave of rejections but curiosity is getting the best of me.
  3. Does anyone have any idea about when ND might send out acceptances (and then more rejections)?
  4. I may be the only one obsessing about this, but looking in the past gcafe records, ND sent out a set of rejections in late February AFTER the original rejections. Maybe this was the rejecting of those who didn't make the final cut? Thoughts?
  5. Thanks all for your wisdom! I'm hopeful based on what Ian faircloud's point is and am rather surprised I didn't get cut immediately. Needless to say, I'll be compulsively checking it for the rest of the week. Dgswain, best of luck to you in the rest of your apps. I wouldn't be surprised if my own rejection came in later today! EDIT: Regarding your point about unknown undergrads, Ian Faircloud, my undergrad was very much unknown so I'm expecting a cut.
  6. 7. My website account for the ND App says nothing new.....where should it says status of the application? I just have Application Status: Submitted. Is this a good/bad sign? (And can you tell the stress is so bad I can barely type?) And I second Weltgeists question.
  8. Anyone have any theories on what happened to Notre Dame? We expected them a week ago!
  9. I would upvote this but I've "reached my quota." I think we need a thread just to post all of the priceless posts for safekeeping. Like whoever said that grad schools are powered by fretting undergrads.
  10. I'm not sure how many more slow days I can take......
  11. Are we thinking Monday will be big again? It'll for sure be nice to have tomorrow "off."
  12. Dgswain, that's crazy! My writing sample would have been on the same thing, but I hadn't gotten to write on it since my early undergrad days so I turned in a writing sample not in my AOI (my undergrad instititution had no one in phil of religion, so no opportunities for guided research). Who did you direct your ND app towards studying under?
  13. Dgswaim, I also have reformed epistemology interests and am hopeful for philosophical theology, but my main interest right now is in Realism/Non-Realism distinction within social scientific treatment of religion, so fairly epistemological as well. Notre Dame is the place to go for all of this for sure.
  14. Nice to know someone else feels it. What are your interests within Phil of Religion? There aren't many of us with that AOI.
  15. In some possible world, has Notre Dame sent out rejections/acceptances? I'd rather it was the concrete world, but if someone can assure me that there is a possible world in which they have, it would make it easier.
  16. So are we thinking next week for Notre Dame rejects/accepts at this point? (Please! The suspense is killing me!)
