  1. I called the general number on the website. I think that's the woman who also sent me the e-mail. Her name is Tania and her number is 416 978 5120. The person she said I should actually talk to was named Anita (initially she said she's be calling me back but then I got an e-mail instead), and she's cc'd on the e-mail I was sent, but I don't know what her number is. Good luck!
  2. I was accepted at U of T! What a relief! I called to ask when second round offers would be out, they took down my name, and I got an e-mail of acceptance shortly after. I'm so excited!
  3. Thanks for the update! Any idea when the second round will be coming out?
  4. Same here! I have 4.5 years full-time and a lot of part-time. I was rather shocked! There's a form you can fill out to ask them to re-evalutate, you can find it here: http://wagner.nyu.edu/academics/per#2. But I really just felt like they decided everyone had to do it no matter what, and seeing what you wrote - I'm even more convinced. They're also the only place where I've been accepted so far that isn't offering any money at all. By the way, I was also accepted at mid-career programs. Truth is, I probably won't be attending Wagner, so I really don't know why the e-mail got me so upset.
  5. Thanks! The problem is that they roll them out. a few at a time.
  6. I've completely become OCD with checking... And I'm in a totally different time zone - I check during the morning here when it's the middle of the night in Canada and there's no chance anyone bothered to do anything with my application just then! By the way, the e-mail tend to be delayed, when accepted your status on the sgs website changes to "decision made", then (based on others who've been through this) if you log in to ROSI you see that you've been invited to attend, and the e-mail could take a few more days. I'm a little bit concerned with the fact that it looks like they're not very into international students there (although I'm a Canadian citizen, I haven't lived in Canada for a very long time). I don't know of anyone else applying from outside Canada and I know they don't have that many international students in the program. I know I'm a competitive candidate - I have offers from top places in the US - but for various reasons, I probably prefer Toronto.
  7. My understading is that at many places additional funding opportunities open up once you're in.
  8. I've been monitoring Toronto closely and also spoke to them and it looks like they really take their time and we may not know till the end of April. I have 3 offers in the US I'm supposed to respond to by April 15 which is kind of problematic with the U of T schedule. I have no idea about Queens but it looks like everyone is taking their time!
  9. I would call. You have nothing to lose from contacting them and everything to lose if for some stupid technical reason they don't end up considering your application.
  10. I had no idea the class was quite that small!
  11. I was admitted with a 10k fellowship to the MPA. I also have an offer from Duke. Waiting to hear from NYU and UofT.
  12. Thanks! I'll sit down to write to you this evening. At this rate I'll be accepted everywhere I applied except UofT, which is the one place my partner already got an offer from!
  13. And congrads, of course! It's great that you already know what next year will look like (and even had to make a choice)
  14. Are you the one who posted on the results board?
  15. I called the department (MPP) yesterday - the woman who answered there was very nice and helpful. She said the first offers should be out by the 15th. This doesn't mean you'll actually get them by then in the e-mail because there may be a delay, but by then the website will be updated. All answers go out by e-mail and are first updated on the website. She said that they're working one application at a time so not having an update yet now doesn't mean anything (although I'm not very hopeful at this point). Most of the answers they'll be giving in this round are acceptances and not rejections. All answers will be out by the end of April. The fact that I have an April 15 deadline from the place I got an offer from (Duke) can't hasten the process, and they know that sometimes people have to respond to other offers before getting answers from them but they follow an independent schedule (kind of annoying. In the US they have a common date for last offers so people will be able to respond on time).
  16. Thanks for the update. I guess I'm in for a long wait.
  17. Dodger, have you heard back from U of T MPP? (yup, I'm a little nervous here...)
  18. same here - managed to log in (thanks for the explanation!) but there's nothing there
  19. I tried logging into ROSI for the registration for housing and was told (after I didn't succeed, and supposedly this is how you finalize the process of application) that I would only be able to log in after being made an offer and accepting it (this was ages ago, before anyone got any answers). So I'm wondering how you were able to log in there?
  20. By the way - there are no posts on the general admissions board from MPP Toronto. So it's not like anyone has heard something you haven't.
  21. My status is still "under review". Now I'm getting really nervous...
  22. Any idea when U of T are supposed to start sending out answers?
  23. You gotta be kidding me! When there's finally a decision, I'll have to wait for international snail-mail to know what it is?
  24. So I have an offer from elsewhere (in the US). Do you think that can in any way help me get an offer from U of T sooner?
  25. I was accepted, which is very exciting, but I'm rather disappointed with the funding. I'm coming with a family of 5 and 16K+4K assitanships simply isn't enough. This is my first answer so I have to wait and see what answers I get elsewhere.
