  1. So ungerdrag...any idea where you're going to end up? It must be hard to decide when you have so many good options! I mean that very sincerely (and I wish I had a similar problem). I'm so sorry if that's too invasive--I'm just curious.
  2. JEEZ LOUISE! Congrats, that's soo fantastic! Seriously, how the heck are you so awesome at this whole getting-into-grad-school thing?
  3. Congrats! Also claiming a UChicaog rejection (at least I finally heard something...) and a Stanford rejection. Stanford and Princeton are my absolute dream schools. It was such a nice rejection, but I'll be feeling this one for quite some time.
  4. Well, they did respond with an email. Other than the salutation and closing, this was all it said: "You should hear from the Admissions Office by mid-March. Our University has a policy of not communicating about admissions decisions by email." So that was totally unhelpful. Well, at least I tried.
  5. I have logged on to the website and it just reads, "submitted." I'm just going to email them and ask very nicely if all of their offers have been made. That way I'll know not only about my own application, but I can report back about what this means.
  6. Nothing in spam, and I'm pretty certain they would not have offered me a slot in the MAPH because I already have an MA. Do they have a waitlist, or could those who haven't heard anything be on an informal waitlist?
  7. Claiming the Pitt rejection just posted. It was such a nice email...that almost made it harder! Also, has anyone else heard northing from UChicago...did they send out rejections already?
  8. Apparently they have not all gone out yet. I emailed the department on Friday, and I received a very nice email from the department administrator saying that "they are still in the review process" and that they hope to make decisions "within the coming weeks". So it was pretty vague, but helpful nonetheless. Except since I'm dying to go there it's making me anxious! I had also emailed Michigan some time ago after the initial reports appeared, and they said the same thing. Another dream department for me! People have been super nice even though they probably hate getting these emails...
  9. I never thought about that, either. But I agree it's a good practice and it makes sense. I was the only woman in my MA program, and even though I was friends withs with everyone, there where a few moments where I thought I was on a different planet. Especially the day that people got bored and started arm-wrestling. THAT was just too much for me (and I was kinda a jock in high school and science geek in college...)
  10. Haha what perfect timing! Congrats!
  11. When I looked on the results page, I didn't see any Cornell waitlist postings. Any info? It wasn't a great fit for me, but I'd still like to know... And good vibes to all! The next few days should be busy...although I'd really like my weekends back!!
  12. Thanks, MattDest! I know someone at Arizona, and he has done extremely well there, and loves it. If you'd like, you can message me and I'll give you his name.
  13. Thanks! And congrats on your haul!
  14. Congrats! You are still cleaning up--how awesome! (not sarcastic--I know it's hard to tell on the internet).
  15. Just got in to UPenn! The department is very high on my list so I'm thrilled! Still in a state of shock...
  16. Just received a Yale rejection (via email to check website). At least it was a nice letter.
  17. I really, really would like for Princeton, Cornell, Michigan, and UPenn to hurry up already and admit people. Not because I think I have a shot at any of these places, given my track record, but simply because I would like to stop dreaming about them. I'm feeling a little pathetic for having these teeny-tiny shreds of hope left. Also, are Berkeley, Stanford, and UChicago ever going to send out rejections, or do they care so little for the plebs among us that they're content to leave us hanging?
  18. Congrats! You're really killing it!
  19. I would also love to hear specifics about the UCLA offer, as that was pretty high on my list as well. Congrats!, Maybe, at least, I can bask in your glory.
  20. Rejected from Washington (Seattle) today. Even after all the rejections I've already received, this one surprised me a bit because it was far and away the least selective program to which I applied (I guess that's not saying very much...). To not even be waitlisted feels harsh. Oh well. And, in terms of the comments asking people not to sit on multiple offers, I think it's important to remember the context on both sides. There's a lot of pressure on everyone before April 15th rolls around, and so freaking out is bound to happen. I suggest yoga or drinking. I don't suggest drunk yoga--I really hurt my back that way one time...
  21. I was the one who posted that Michigan isn't finished sending out acceptances/waitlists. I emailed the department, and that's what they told me.
  22. Yes, definitely.
  23. I'm claiming a Madison wait-list. I know it's a wait list, but still it's my first good news!!!!!!! If you got in to Madison and are planning on going elsewhere, please decline your offer. I will bake you cookies! Seriously, send me your address and I'll send you cookies. Any cookies! AHHHHH.
