I called Wisconsin today - results will be sent out by the end of the week.

The idea is so you can do something productive with your summer - which for most of us means making some $$$

Yup, typical structure is two 13-week semesters, followed by an exam period (which typically applies to undergrad not grad)

I broke and called University of Michigan - turns out they sent me a rejection email 3 weeks ago but to the wrong address. He resent it just now…I feel like I suffered unnecessarily for the past 3 weeks.

Well, my status for Michigan changed to "A decision has been made. Your program of application will inform you of the decision." Guess I'll prepare for my rejection tomorrow!!!

I have a friend who started a PhD at MUN last year, she LOVES it!!!

In case it is of interest to anyone, University of Toronto anthro admitted 21 students across the fields, and are expecting a cohort of around 14 to attend. I met Dr. Janice Boddy (my potential supervisor) - total fan girl syndrome!

Especially with increasing language requirements, people are taking a lot longer to finish their degrees. U Michigan had a similar statement about the average length of time for a PhD being 8 years.
