Just found out I've been wait listed for the MA at UBC... It's one of my top choices so I really hope I can get off that list!! No indication of how long the list is or where I am on it.
I wish they would let people know where they are on the wait list! It's so frustrating!

I haven't heard ANYTHING from BU - can they at least reject me so I have a clear answer?

anyone here got into stanford and not planning on going, im waitlisted and wondering what my chances are? Someone told me they have a small waiting list but usually people end up going....
I'm in the same boat, wait listed at BU. I'm hoping this will be an unusual year and I will get in but not holding out a lot of hope.

I did my undergrad at UNLV and there were a number of students there that were accepted to the PhD without a MA. Maybe the wording was misleading or something?

Anyone want to speculate about the BU update this morning? Why would they hold on to your application if they didn't interview you? Do they only pick from the people they interview?

I didn't have an interview. But, I also haven't seen others accepted. I don't know if I'm a unique case or what? (Not trying to sound pretentious, just really don't!)
You don't sound pretentious. Did other people get an interview in archaeology?

Does anyone know if Boston always does interviews for the people they accept? I feel like I am really annoying, constantly asking about BU, but this process is making me crazy. As in, an actual crazy person.

Did everyone that received a rejection from BU anthropology department inquiry with the department before they got that response? Or did BU send out rejections unprompted?

Has anyone heard anything from the anth department? Idea's when they may be notifying people? I really need to focus on my thesis but can't seem to think about anything else.

BU Interview was me! Sociocultural. And it doesn't seem to be really a formal interview, more of a skype chat for 10-15 mins with two of my POIs. My POI contacted me today via e-mail, he is also the head of the admissions committee.
Congrats!!! And good luck with the interview. It seems to take them a few days to send out interviews so not all hope is lost, yet

I called the department this morning and was told my application was still under review. What does this MEEEEAAANNNN!?!?! I can't take the suspense!
