that was me! nothing more detailed than what it seems that the admits got - that they had over 250 applicants and accepted about 8% of them, and that they would be in touch.

I'm incredibly jealous of your situation. I'm graduating from undergrad a year earlier than my fiancee, who'll apply to graduate programs in a field (or fields) other than philosophy next season, and I'm not applying to any programs near where we currently live, so all I'm going on in trying to find a place where we can both see ourselves ending up is whatever vague sense she has of where she might apply and where I can feasibly catch a plane home for holidays (which is to say - big cities in the east) while I'm away for that year. It's pretty miserable, so congrats and enjoy what slim amount of security you have over me!

yeah Chicago's making me especially anxious - I had expected as much that they'd have announced something earlier, which itself, the pure delayed expectation, is probably the source of the anxiety moreso than their being one of my top choices.

Yeah, I did that - doesn't seem to be the case. I'm not that optimistic I guess but I've yet to hear from any of the 14 or so philosophy programs I applied to so still hopeful. congrats to the NU admits, regardless!

could any of the Northwestern admits give any more details? how personal were the emails, whether it seems like there were more on the way, etc. don't mean to pry - it's one of my top choices and I've been achingly anxious since the first admits started to roll out.
