According to the GSBS Associate Dean of Graduate Education, the Deans will be making admission decisions in mid-March, and then the admissions office will contact us thereafter. So answers in the next week or so I would imagine.
What if one were to enter the US on a J1 internship visa in e.g. May to work for the summer and then needs to switch to a J1/F1 student visa to start grad school in e.g. August. Would it be necessary to leave the country after the internship, but before grad school, for the 2nd visa stamp to be applied to your passport? Or can the change of status be done without leaving the US?
Out of interest, did the GSBS pay for flights to and from Houston for interviewees or is it just food and accommodation covered? And if so, did they book flights themselves or reimburse you for your prepaid flights?
Would that be for both domestic and international interviewees would you know? I`m international so interviewing by Skype soon.
On another note, were you able to meet with many of your prospective POI for interviews? I`m also interested in immunology.
