  1. UMichigan hasn't said anything yet, right? I actually decided to log into their application status interface thingy today and find the site keeps crashing on me.

Indiana's is doing the same to me...I think its a conspiracy!

  2. I saw both acceptances and rejections to Vanderbilt. Is anyone still waiting? Can anything be inferred from no response?

I am still waiting...I haven't heard a blessed word either way.

  3. Unless you have a good reason, like having to respond to another offer by a certain deadline, don't ask.

This is what my current advisors have told me as well.  As much as I am dying to hear from certain schools, it is better just to wait it out!  Of course the uncertainty and anxiety is a total productivity killer!

  4. I'm the poster who was wait listed at Vanderbilt. Does anyone know how it works at Vanderbilt? Have they taken students from the wait list in recent years?

When did you hear from Vanderbilt. My status on the application page still says submitted, and I haven't seen anyone post about being accepted yet.

  5. I saw your post in the History Fall 2014 Applicants thread and I'm in the exact same situation with Tennessee. I was thinking about emailing them too, but I wanted to check if you had heard anything back yet. Best of luck!

They post their letters at the very top of the status webpage.  I was in the same boat and then last night a link to the official response from the grad admissions office was posted.  Mine was an acceptance, but still no word from the department.

    Best of luck to everyone

  6. While I'm not pursuing programs in history at this time, I can empathize with you about the waiting game. It's tough having only a couple rejections back with no communication from other programs. What I gather is that we'll need to be patient. All good things come with time!

Oh so true! Unfortunately, I am not known for my patience. Perhaps I will learn some from this whole endeavour! ;-)

  7. I have noticed that one person has been accepted to the UGA history program. Any other Georgia applicants heard anything from them? I am dying to know something. Had a GOOD interview with John Inscoe in October and left with a great feeling. The waiting game is killing me though!!!!

  8. I was accepted to the U of Kentucky this morning! Any other (potential) Wildcats out there? If so, PM me.

Congrats on the acceptance. Your the first I've seen accepted to Kentucky...still waiting to hear from them myself. How did you hear?
