See, I tend to be the opposite way. I hate almost everything when I read it at first, and usually the first few times. Then I come to like some of it. It's kind of like John Coltrane or James Joyce.
John Coltrane? Are you serious? the man makes the sax sing sweet mellifluous notes. Now if you're talking about his religious revival music, then perhaps yes, it needs to be better understood first before making a valuation, but My Favorite Things and Central Park West are so so sweet sounding for both the uninitiated and expert alike

Someone just posted on the results page that the Graduate assistant from Duke said rejections are coming. Can anyone confirm?

Hey guys,
I know some people had some criticism of the utility of this page, and I agree to the extent that someone accepted to a school should take their time in deciding a school.
That said, if anyone has been accepted at Duke and has no interest in going with respect to having been accepted at other places or what have you, I'd appreciate it if you decline your offer to the DGS to open up space.
It'd open up space for others, namely myself, and would be doing me a solid to have a better crack at a school I'd like to attend.

Thus far, I only hear from schools as I'm going to/from my game theory class. Good news guys, I have game theory today.

Someone posted on the results page that Duke sent out a rejection letter saying "We received over 300 applications this year. Our admissions committee met several times to review and select the candidates to whom they wanted to offer admission and those candidates have been notified"
Can anyone confirm this?

I see undergrad journals are not worth much, but what about grad student journals? Maybe worth a little for PhD admissions committees?
