What type of corporate job does an MA generally qualify you for?

I am only in my first year of a Classics MA but have already decided this is certainly not for me(I did my undergrad in history) But because I am on scholarship and I enjoy it and the city I'm in I want to see it to the end. Having decided not to go on into academia, I don't know what else my Classics MA might help me get into once I'm done. I do not want to teach high school even though it is the obvious backup (which I think is a lame reason anyway). Museum work is another obvious choice but I don't consider it lucrative enough. What are some of the careers you see people switching into from Classics? Any advice?

Hey! I received a funding package soon after my first post and never checked back on here. Looks like I'll be seeing you at Boulder in the Fall!! I'm so nervous - I'm trying to prepare as much as possible. Did you know what classes you're taking?

UC-Boulder is my top choice and has listed me at "near the top" of the waitlist for funding. If you have already decided on somewhere else, please let them know!!

UGA sent out their first round of offers for funding. I've been waitlisted, so if you're not going to attend please let them know .

Thanks Petros! I never knew the results board existed and that is extremely helpful! I was talking about Seattle, so it sounds like no one has heard back. Also, looks like we got into Georgia together! I thought about applying to Kentucky to but didn't like the campus. I was to scared to apply to Notre Dame. Good luck on funding!

Hey guys, this is my first post! I have been accepted to UGA(MA classics). I am still waiting to hear back from Washington (MA), CU-Boulder (MA), Toronto (applied for both an MA in classics and an MA in history), and Catholic University of America (MA-PhD). Anyone have any hints on when these schools usually send out responses? I've noticed some people on here have already heard back from Washington. Should I count that as a no then?
