    St. Louis, MO

Probably attending SLU this upcoming fall. Will be looking for somewhere to live near campus. Anyone looking for a room mate?
  2. I actually wish I would have done more research at Claremont. I've been thinking about doing Psychology after my MPH as I'm interested in Health/Sport Psychology. A dual degree would have been fantastic. I'm assuming it's much too late at this point.
  3. I'm still waiting on two more schools, one of those being Texas. But the other being San Diego State which is not ranked that high. St. Louis University is my top choice right now. I think the thing I like about these schools(minus Texas) is the smaller class sizes. It's a big thing to me to be able to communicate with my classmates and more importantly establish a closer relationships with professors that way. Not saying it can't happen at bigger/higher ranked schools. But I definitely think it makes it easier!
  4. My concentration area I'll be going into is Behavioral Science/Health Promotion. I also have a large interest in the psychology aspect of health. Is there a rule written/unwritten that I shouldn't try and work with a professor from the psych department (if they even would). Behavioral and Psych are somewhat related. Just wondering if anyone has done this or how I should approach it. Thanks!
  5. I actually emailed a guy at UIC that I believe was a contact person regarding admissions for my specific program. He so graciously notified me of my denial via email. That was friday, their site still says "Referred to college for review". So I would see if you can email a specific person(if you haven't already of course). best of luck
  6. Has anyone heard anything from San Diego State or Iowa regarding MPH decisions?
  7. Any chance you could send me that email address? Just in case who you contacted is different than who I talked to last week who told me nothing..
  8. I also applied to UIC MPH, Community Health Sciences. My stuff was acknowledged a couple weeks ago so I'm behind. But the fact that some of you applied much earlier and still haven't heard worries me. I know there was a UIC teacher and faculty strike last week I believe only for a couple days. Hope that's not setting it back.
  9. Completely understandable. SOPHAS dumb and long processing period set me back like at least two weeks. I believe they got mine because I got an email from UT and they gave me a myUTH account and all that so I can monitor my application.
  10. Yeah they really haven't reached out to me at all! My app got sent over the first week of February I believe. I was a little later than I wanted with my app, long story.
  11. I applied to the MPH program in Austin too, Health Promotion though. I haven't heard anything from them, and I emailed admissions the other day and the lady didn't give me any useful information of course. So I guess it's just a waiting game still.
  12. I applied to SLU as well. Haven't heard anything yet though, I think next week I will. What concentration?
  13. I had a similar problem with them. Although, they gave me my username and password via email. It wouldn't let me log in. I called the number listed if I had problems and he said it works better with Mozilla or just Internet Explorer rather than Google Chrome if people are using that. Not sure if that helps but that's what happened with mine! Let's hope everyone receives good news.
  14. Congrats. What did you think about UIC? I'm still waiting on my admission decision to be given but hoping for the best obviously. Are you going to attend one of those? And what's your concentration?
  15. New to this site, this is awesome! Congrats to those that have gotten accepted. I'm still waiting because my apps got out about a month later than they should have. Any applicants to: Saint Louis University IUPUI San Diego State Texas-Austin Iowa UIC I'd love to chat! Good luck to everyone
