  1. Dr. Fergus, Dr. LeCun, and Dr. Bregler. I only stated specific faculty in the field of computer vision. Outside of that i treated security and HCI as backup or interdisciplinary interests so i did not specify faculty.
  2. Computer Vision is my main area of research with interests in security and HCI. I emailed them on Friday and they said that they would be sending out their final decisions "early next week".
  3. more NYU rejections are hitting the results page, has anybody got an acceptance yet?
  4. Thanks! I really hope they at least get us results before April... I Was hoping to make my final decision around the 5th.
  5. Exactly, at this point I just want to know what the decision is/what the status is. Accepted/rejected/or wait listed. The longer wait is making the possible rejection even worse! I have heard back from schools whose due dates where in February, where the schools that I had to submit apps by early December haven't said a word....
  6. So I have had 2 schools that I applied to send out a large batch of rejections before they sent out their acceptances as far as I can tell. I wasn't in either of those batches, so i can be happy about that, but this seems like a weird order to do things. I'm looking to take it as being unofficially wait listed, and maybe they already sent out a small first batch of aceptances.
  7. Well looking at the results board I seem to be one of the only people to not get a rejection letter from Columbia this week. That's a good thing I guess, let the unbearable wait for a decision continue!!!!!
  8. Ya I know the feeling, I cant help but to check my email every 5 min. So far I have had 5/10 schools get back to me, from both ends of the spectrum. I have been rejected from the best schools i applied to and got into the lowest ranked ones. Still looking to see where I stand overall, though on the bright side I seem to be the only person who did not get a rejection letter from Columbia this week.
  9. My app still looks the same as it did back in November for the PhD program, no sections have moved around... this is weird.
  10. Nope, my previous classes section is still under the "optional" category in the application. Though I did fill it out during the application process.
  11. Ya I had 2 interviews with professors from Poly and that is pretty much what they told me about the situation. Still haven't heard anything from NYU and Columbia. I find it weird that NYU would send out all of their rejections before the acceptances. I guess columbia is just taking their time. I would be surprised if their visit day has already passed with no one really posing on the results page.
  12. Nope, I just noticed that to, I have not received anything in my email from the main campus. I have however been in contact to set up an interview with a professor at NYU poly, or I guess now the NYU college of engineering..... Does anybody know how the merger is going to effect our major? NYU poly is now a proper part of NYU and is acting as their College of Engineering. This now means there are 2 computer science departments. From what I have read online the Courant institute (Math/CS college) will now be working with the CSE department at the poly campus. I applied to both, if I get into one does that mean I get into both?
  13. Just heard back from Stony Brook, so they all are not dragging their feet.
  14. I have applied to both (and a couple other NY universities) and have yet to hear anything back from them. I went through the results for 2012 and 2013 to see if there is a particular date they sent out there results and it looked to be well into march for both years. I wouldn't trust all of the early "acceptances" either. A lot of people hearing something via word of mouth because they know somebody with nothing on paper.
