i'm off to northwestern i got into 4 out of 9 schools i applied to... UCSD, NW, Boston, WIsc-Mad...but i had to eventually decide between UCSD and NW (both offered very attractive packages). i know i'm starting to sound like a broken record now...but is there no one else on gradcafe (anthro) going to NW this fall?! congrats to those of you who managed to get a place this year...otherwise, there's all next year to try again! thank you everyone...reading about your musings, anxieties, excitement, joy really helped me to maintain my sanity for the past few months <3

Hi all, this thread is pretty dead.. I'll be going to NW this fall...anyone else attending NW? as mentioned previously i'm looking forward to renting at Rogers Park but am willing to explore other areas...even considering finding a roommate or two to share a 2/3 bedroom apartment cos it's just more economically feasible that way...what about you guys? when will you start hunting for apartments? anyone planning to stay on campus? lycoris i loved reading your post!

Hi Nina, and peanutanthro, and everyone else! I got the rejection :s basically it was an email from donna something that read "pls check the attached file" and there was actually a really nice rejection letter attached. they received 140 applications and selected 7 outstanding candidates. I think they've made their decision...so you should be hearing something soon...all the best to you guys

congrats to the person who posted his/her admission into UCSD anthro dept...may i ask if you got the "provisional admit" as well?

hi! my friend got an acceptance email yesterday...i don't know if they've made all offers...but in any case, her proposed advisor seemed to be quite confident about funding

hi ibn...im not sure, but i did get an email from Mark informing me of the acceptance..n to wait for financial info...i'm guessing that they should be in the process of making decisions still? it is afterall pretty early for BU, last year they notified applicants around 20ish feb or so... good luck to you... by the way your nickname "ibn" is son in arabic right? are you working on islam as well? (you can pm me if you don't feel like replying here)

I'm applying to Cornell n the NU prog too ) btw people i emailed Yale, and got a similar response: That information is incorrect. The anthropology department has not made their decisions yet as to who is being accepted into the program. Thank you, Gordon

hmm that's interesting. because i remember clearly you saying elsewhere that you only applied to ONE university. so to get such an AMAZING funding package is beyond awesome!!!!!!
