  1. ARP265,

I am also a fellow neuroscience applicant, where else are you applying?

I wish you the best this season, I hear its pretty cut throat this application season.

  2. January. Anyone else out there? I would guess that they accept over 50% since for each interviewee they have to spend quite a lot of money just to host us.... but i was hoping someone would say in the 90% range .... orrrr higher ? :) My guess is somewhere around 80%... (is this too optimistic?)
  3. This forum stressssesss me out. I can only stand to read it for about 5 minutes before it's an overload of grad info, stress, and statistics... Good luck to everyone.
  4. Hey All, I was wondering if any of you had an idea of about what percentage of students interviewed receive acceptance. I applied to 6 Ph.D. programs for Neuroscience and so far have only heard back from one (interview at UPenn)... so this may be my only chance! Just wondering if they tend to accept half, most, or almost all students interviewed?? Thanks!
  5. Hey Everyone, I took the GRE last week and did worse than any practice test I took and I"m wondering whether I even have time to retake it or if it's worth it... My first application deadline is Dec 1st.. and the rest are all Dec 15th. V650, M760 (on test day I was nervous and ending up pressed for time on the math... with the practice tests I was consistently getting an 800) I'm particularly worried about the math percentile (it will be under 90th percentile). The earliest I would want to retake it would be somewhere in between December 10th and December 15th. In that case would schools even get it in time for it to be included in my application review? I'm applying to Neuroscience Ph.D. Programs (mainly Cognitive Neuroscience). Does anyone know if these scores within range for the following schools? Princeton UPenn Boston University Yale Dartmouth Georgetown Columbia, UCSF MIT Brown Thank You!
  6. Hey Everyone, Just wondering how everyone else is handling their personal statement. I have mine written (already about 2 pages in length; coming close to their deadlines)... and now when I'm filling out my applications (Neuroscience Ph.D... each schools seems to give the personal statement directions slightly differently... and in addition.. they each want to know what it is about that particular school that makes you want to go there.. etc Is everyone else modifying their personal statement for each and every school? Not looking forward to this... And just when I thought I had come close to finally being done with everything Thanks!
