Undergraduate institution: CC, transferred to UC San Diego
Undergraduate GPA: 3.58
Undergraduate Major: Political Science focus in IR
GRE Quantitative Score: 740
GRE Verbal Score: 550
GRE AW Score: 4.0 lol
Years Out of Undergrad (if applicable): 1
Years of Work Experience: around 2 years of internships
Describe Relevant Work Experience: tutored/mentored high school students (1.5 years), intern with DC consulting (3 months)
Strength of SOP (be honest, describe the process, etc): Strong enough to outweigh my poor writing score on the GRE haha
Strength of LOR's (be honest, describe the process, etc): I would imagine pretty strong (waived rights), one was from a CC professor.
Other: Due to my strong but not stellar GRE scores/GPA and lack of real professional experience I went with a shotgun approach, applying to a smattering of programs and schools. I took stats, research methods, and math up to calc 2 during my undergrad, but have no foreign language skills. I'm also an underrepresented minority with previous minority scholarship awards.
