Anyone claim a stanford acceptance, I've been alternated by them and wondering if other folks are making decisions or waitlisted as well?

I know, I didn't get an interview but hope is alive as have heard nothing about waitlist either from Yale. I think tomm maybe a crucial day

Getting over Op for now, I had a valid question. If one gets rejected from a school- is it okay to ask why and get some feedback? Visit the dept later on? Any experiences with this.... I just really wanna know for schools where I has the right fit especially, what weakness may have been there ?

I got wait listed at stanford and they said 'there is some likelihood' they can offer place with funding and told to wait unt il around April 15th. But no ranking provided. Someone told me they about 3-5 max on waitlist. I wonder if others get some thing that says 'strong likelihood' and I'm the some likelihood dude:(

wait listed at stanford, rejection from berkeley. stanford says "extremely impressed by your application", "have put your name on an alternate list" , "there is some likelihood that we maybe able to offer you a place" is this the same thing as waitlisted or is this saying, " wait, we are looking for funding and if we get it ,your in" vs "if others dont say yes to offer, we may have space for you" anyone else get this? happy nonetheless blessings all around to the dreamers and the hopeful

has berkeley forgotten about the rejected....can we be informed...any news folks?

Well, the feedback from POI ranged from formal to a bit of enthusiasm - but all said that my topic was of interest and i should apply with the disclaimer that admissions are competitive. Hard to judge anything from that. Nothing too specific. Surprisingly, I havent heard about Prof Rizvi - will look him for sure. Thanks. Emailed stanford, so lets see what they say...

so no one has heard from stanford still? i think im going to email them today, they interviewed me two weeks ago but now im getting impatient.......

Well...that leaves really stanford for me as that is the only interview I got....what about johns hopkins anthro...anyone heard from them? i think someone needs to design a rejection rehab center ....how does one get over one solid year of graduate school obsession.....

Applied to Yale Anthro - sociocultural - havent heard any news and now getting nervous. I had question - is not getting an interview a sign? Are you less likely to get accepted with out an interview? I have just gotten one interview at stanford and then further response - so at least i know they are interested? But no other interviews and thats making me anxious.... good luck everyone
