And agreed on not sweating it too much, although it is a tough climate and I think placements are becoming less easily available, especially because higher tier schools seem to be less likely to cost share. The main problem is if you're holding out for a really great school; if you're more flexible it's much more likely you'll end up happy!
  2. Also a grantee from the last cycle - feel free to PM me with any questions! It might differ from country to country, but I found it a very nerve-wracking process. I was also interviewed and accepted much later than US applicants since I could not attend the in-person interviews, so my acceptances came in very late. If you're stressing about your visa situation because you don't have a school yet, don't worry too much, since they managed to interview me TWO DAYS before I left and the visa somehow crossed the country fast enough that I got it the day before I was due to leave.
