I'm thinking about withdrawing from this civilization class. It would be my 3rd withdrawal on my transcript. I have about a 3.2 GPA. This would be the last term before my applications are sent in.
I currently attend an Ivy+ school (think Stanford, MIT, Chicago, Caltech, Duke, etc.) and plan to graduate this December. I'm planning on applying to industrial engineering masters programs, which recommend at least a term of computer science. Would it be sufficient to take an online programming class that covers Java to fulfill this soft prerequisite.
I'm applying to an industrial engineering program that recommends that we take a probability class. The probability class has a conflict with another class I need to take for my major. Would passing the actuarial exam in probability demonstrate my competence in statistics, rather than taking an actual class? I'm graduating in Autumn 2014 and am applying to start in January 2015.
