my status changed to decision made last week (Wednesday I think) but i haven't received any email or mail yet ...

I received the email from Charlotte Lombardo about 2 weeks ago (April 9) and in that email she mentioned that we would be getting the official offer in the mail in about 3 weeks from that date. From the day we receive our application, we have 2 weeks to accept it. I think it takes almost a month or so to receive the official letter in the mail.

Anyone thinking about going to U of T HP part time? If so, how would it work? I'm definitely leaning towards the U of T program but don't want to give up my work...

If it's any helpful - those at U of T waiting on CGS N SERC or SSHRC have had a greater chance of moving up on the alternate list than those waiting for CIHR (= me ) - since U of T is allocated greater numbers of NSERC and SSHRC than CIHR. *sigh But acv025 you're right - it's still pretty awesome that we were at least placed on the wait list! as much as this grey-area sucks, it's still (in some sort of way) an honour ?

For those of you who got the email from U of T HP, anyone have any info on entrance scholarships to the program? Congratulations future classmates!

Hey all - those who have been waiting for U of T - Health Promotion, apparently they have begun reviewing the applications, but no decisions have been made as of yet. We should hear back "sometime in April", likely late April - early May. From what I've been told, once a decision is made from the department, we would get an email saying "you have been recommended to the program" and then the application is forward to the Admissions department (I think) from which point the status on SGS might change. Oh gosh I don't know what I'll do when that happens. I'll probably skip work and stand by the mailbox lol.

I'm not sure if the Health Promotion program has interviews. Ahh I can't handle seeing the "Under Review" anymore. Last year people started hearing back late March... and still nothing yet =(

I am! I was looking up CGS results and I applied for only one (at U of T) and was placed under Alternate =( Fingers crossed that people select other universities and give me a shot at CGS

Anyone know when we'll hear back about OGS applications?

I was in a similar position with Waterloo. I had two weeks to accept Waterloo and haven't heard from U of T as of yet. I accepted Waterloo and will wait and see what happens with U of T... if they offer me funding then I might consider it but I'm really split given i'm working FT currently.

Out of curiosity - has anyone applied for CGS - Masters Award this year? And have you heard anything back?

So I'm in a bit of a sticky dilemma. I received my (official) Waterloo offer of admission a little under two weeks ago but in the offer, I was asked to accept it within two weeks of the offer date. My two top choices are U of T (HP) and Waterloo ... and I think my first choice would be U of T HP. But since I won't hear from U of T for another few weeks, does any one know if I could accept Waterloo and if I am successful with U of T, then "cancel" my acceptance to Waterloo later on? I prefer the in-class component and have heard amazing things about U of T ... yet at the same time I'm working full-time so the Waterloo program would be ideal... ahh the dilemma!

I called U of T regarding their HP program last week and yeah, they said that they're running a bit behind and they haven't begun reviewing the applications as of yet. But yes, they take in about 10%. This year there's over 400 applicants and maybe 35-40 spots available.

Hey there, My CGPA is about 3.87/4.33 ... last two years GPA was about 3.92/4.33 I've worked in public health on and off for about 2.5 years, and have some research experience with stats. Hope it helps =)
