  1. I may as well throw this out there, too. I'm going to be looking for a roommate in Brooklyn, probably around the middle of July. I'm trying to find one or two suitable roommates to split the rent. My price range is going to be somewhere around $500 - $800, and I'm looking at places mainly in Greenpoint and Williamsburg. I'm clean, considerate, and social, and I can cook pretty well. I'm female, mid-20s, and I pay bills on time. If you, or anyone you may know, is looking for a roommate, definitely shoot me an email: LFAlix@gmail.com.
  2. Cool! I'm going for CUNY graduate journalism (as you should already know). What about you?

  3. Hello! I added you as a friend because we're both attending CUNY Brooklyn this fall! Nice to meet you! :)

  4. I will be attending Brooklyn College for an MFA in Television Production this fall!!!

I can't speak from personal experience, but as I'm heading off to Brooklyn this summer myself, I've been talking to a few friends about the area and Brooklyn more generally. The area right around Brooklyn College looked a little bit sketchy when I visited in February, but I really didn't feel too bothered or threatened. However, I'm not sure I would really want to live in the Brooklyn College/Flatbush area. One friend who attends Brooklyn College recommended living in the Greenpoint or Williamsburg areas of Brooklyn, but she added that she knows people who live near the school and they haven't really had any problems with it. I'm probably going to look for a place in Greenpoint myself. From everything I hear about it, the area is OK, and it's a reasonable commute to both Brooklyn College and Manhattan.
  6. Anybody else looking at television production programs for a Master's? I've really only been looking at CUNY Brooklyn and Boston University so far. I'd love to hear from anybody else in the same situation, or from anyone who could tell me a little about either of those schools.
