Ah so we're all in the same boat. If they wait until the 14th, I'll likely hear back from all three of my applications within two days. Which is terrifying. ;_;
it's very brave of you to just apply to 3 programs i have to say
-
Well technically it's 3:30AM.
Does anyone know for sure whether we won't be hearing from admissions over the weekend? Does this apply to all schools? (I know this sounds like a silly question, but my own school's admin staff is known to work weekends when they have to.)
apparently no one knows for sure or we wouldn't be this freaked out...good luck for all of us.

Cai, its already mid-night in Geneva..I am so confused with IHEID and their decision process...LSE is going to be my home for a year!!
at least you have LSE...i don't want to wait another week and i definitely don't want to get both decisions from IHEID and SAIS on one day-March 14. this is just too much
-
one of my friends just got admitted to MDev...
-
Yeah i know...there are still like 13 hours before weekend comes in Geneva but i don't want to get my hopes up.
-
Well, it's Friday already...i guess we won't be hearing from IHEID till next week after all.
-
idk why but i didn't feel it was the decision mail when i saw it...perhaps it's because i've already become used to the idea of not getting the result till next week.
-
-
Good luck to you....i got rejected
-
I shouldn't say this but I really want to say that I hate they doing this. Even rejections, they should let us know first. We have been waited for more than four months!!!
you don't mean this anyway no news means good news.
-
and i will accept Sciences Po, thats it.
NO.
Yes i think the same.
Congratulations
In the same boat.
angie i think Sciences Po is a very good choice. if i got into Sciences Po i think i'll be significantly less worried now. i'm beginning to regret for not applying to it...

Guys, according to people's posts on IHEID's Facebook page, we'll hear back next week...
you've got to be kidding me...
-
just got a rej from Georgetown
fingers crossed for IHEID...

Its like putting all of us through patience & self control test.
Then I've failed like a thousand times already...

Hi,
I have been reading your messages for a long time, but only now decided to post.
well, for those who are going to become crazy while waiting for results from IHEID.
I have been admitted to MA IR/PSc. No funding.
Hope, it will help.
you mean UCSD? Congratulations!
I also applied to IR/PS, why is my status still under review...

15th March is a Saturday.
then 14th March it is ..
-
The bigger question is, why the hell is IHEID not taking their results out. Its 4th March already!!
I sent an e-mail to ask when the results will be out and i just received the reply. He(or she?) told me that they had not yet received the decisions from the commission and that i'd definitely get the result on March 15 ............ this is torture... Maybe i should learn from Kartun and tell myself I'm done with IHEID
-
why isn't IHEID in any of these rankings...!?
-
at SAIS I applied to Law and Diplomacy if I recall correctly. I want to go into both human rights/development so at SAIS I decided to approach it from the human rights angle because I really loved the program. Do you know when we hear from SAIS?
March 14. SAIS is pretty clear about this unlike IHEID...i applied to the ERE program.
If you are interested in human rights IHEID could be a good choice.

Probably Johns Hopkins. I don't know. Lack of lengthy work experience is holding me back as a truly excellent candidate, I believe at least. I am trying not to think in terms of top choice until I get all my decision letters. If nothing really seems to be the best fit for me I have the option to stay in Haiti for several more years or go somewhere else. I actually applied to two others, but I didn't include them because I think I have a slim chance of getting in and I only applied because a professor asked me to hah
Hi Katrun, i'm also struggling between SAIS and IHEID. But of course my chance to get into both is like zero....BTW, which track of the MA program did apply for?
-
Ah, yes, I did gather that.
From the search results last year, it looks like notifications were given around March 14-15 for IHEID. I wouldn't get your hopes up too much for tomorrow, lest you be disappointed and have to feel like your extra week-two week wait is an eternity.
Yeah i know someone who got the result on March 12 last year...
-
All right, I am betting on this one, IHEID will send out their decision tomorrow !! Even if I dont get in, at least I had few weeks to worry about....Congratulations in advance to those will get accepted...
Really? the results will be released TOMORROW?

Alchyna..I dont know why everyone including myself, is going crazy about IHEID.. As far as I know, college is good but is it really comparable to LSE, NYU and Sciences Po? plz feel free to share your ideas and thoughts!!!!
maybe what matters most is what you want to do in the future. if you want to work in IOs, IHEID is definitely the first choice, while LSE is better if you want to get into the private sector.
