  6. Congrats! Can you share your stats and experience? Thanks
  7. anyone heard from U of Alberta?
  8. @ jdattade, every school has their own gpa calculation. my school 3.6 is 85-86%. anyways it doesn't matter bc u r accepted. so congrats! today my online usask profile just changed to "complete for review"
  9. jdattade - has a US degree which is considered on par with a Canadian degree for admission. 3.6 gpa is prob > 85% avg. i think they look at the citizenship/student visa stuff after determining the candidate's merit.
  10. 700 for usask! yikes guess we wont be hearing from them until april. ughh
  11. Congrats ShelbyH! I was wondering if any applicants to USask are still waiting for documents to arrive? My status still says "incomplete". Even though I am positive my documents were sent in on time.
  12. memorial's website mentions 6 to 8 weeks after feb 1 deadline. so decisions are march 15 onwards?
  13. MPHbound and styrofoamboots, u mind sharing your gpa stats and experience/research etc?
  14. Key differences in MPH vs MSc. MPH is course based. Little to no funding provided, limited scholarships. Goal is to prepare you for the workplace. MSc is usually thesis based. You have to find a supervisor, there is research study involved. However you do get a stipend monthly to cover some of your living expenses, and can apply for plentiful scholarships. Goal is to prepare you for academic/industry research. Perhaps some other readers on this forum can also point out other differences.
  15. i think they are looking for 3.0+ but i guess its relative to the entire applicant pool. my gpa is not stellar either, but i also graduated with a BSc several years ago. i do have significant health experience and research. my main concern is i still dont know what does admissions do about the LORs? because i have been out of school for a while. i used LORs from ppl i have worked with in the last year or two. Because i have zero contact/relationship with professors from undergrad. Also i find it really awkward to contact a professor out of the blue and ask for a letter.
  16. any U of Sask applicants with documents still pending for file review? i can't seem to get any reply from the U of S, email and ph call.
  17. there are some earlier posts on this thread with ppl getting lakehead offers
  18. thanks for the info. was wondering how many ppl are your in class at U of S for the MPH? is admissions easier for the ppl on the Dist Ed option?
  19. do u mind sharing your gpa stats + relevant experiences prior to entering the mph?
  20. has anyone applied to u of s in the last week? does it take a while for documents to get uploaded and application status to change? i had letters, transcripts everything sent in last week prior to the deadline. my application status says "incomplete items outstanding"
