Hey! I was just accepted off the waitlist and I can't seem to find a Facebook page. Has anyone made one? I'd love to find a roommate as well!

Just hit the biggest roadblock.... Had my decision made to start Nova classes in less than two weeks because I was extremely impressed with their program and setup.. Guess who just got accepted to longwood university? In-state tuition... I couldn't be more confused.... Anyone know about longwood or the Facebook group? I need help!

Received a rejection from Marshall University today...... DEFINITELY wasn't expected! But I'm not too upset because I now know that wasn't the path meant for me.

Madisong23 -- I did not apply to Towson this year due to distance, but last year it was the school I was accepted off of the waitlist in June. Everyone said those who were not accepted was waitlisted, however that was false. They do offer a lot of waitlists, but I did make it off of it in June (however, I had committed to another program..which as I've told before is the reason I'm in the situation again) Anywhoooo, I found out a week or so after first acceptances were sent! If it's anything like last year, you'll receive emails for acceptances and waitlists or snail mail for denial. Hold on to hope! I'm sure you'll hear soon

Is it appropriate to contact a school and find out where you are on the waitlist? Or will they be aggravated?

It'll vary by program. Last year I was on Cincinnatis and Towsons. I never got accepted off of Cincinnatis, but by the first week of June or second I was accepted off of Towsons waitlist. Unfortunately, I accepted elsewhere and that's why I'm in this waiting game again haha.

You poor thing!! Feel better! I hope you get great news, that'll definitely get you back on your feet again! I should hear from longwood tomorrow! I'm so nervous, I've done nothing but pray and stress eat through mass amounts of chocolate. Maybe tomorrow will bring us great news!! If not I'll be buying new and bigger pants..

Just a side comment or maybe a learn from my mistake type situation... Choose the school your heart is set on or tells you to go to. I made the mistake last year. I was accepted to two schools and waitlisted at two. I committed to one school and received an assistantship...following a month later I was accepted off the waitlist. My heart told me to go with that school, but I chose the "oh well I have an assistantship route" The school turned out, how can I put this kindly, horrible..... I withdrew and I'm now in waiting game situation again. So just from my situation choose with your heart, not funding.

Autismadvocate -- I would do the exact same thing if I was in your situation! I'll find out eventually from Marshall. I'm just hating the waiting haha.
