  1. This might sound particularly noobish, but how does one go about getting a ROSI account? Much thanks!
  2. Hey MisiaMagda, You can always call and ask the program liaisons of the programs you applied to, where you fell short. They can give you an idea of how to buff up your application for the next time you apply! This way you have a general idea of how better your prospects are going to be or if you should accept that BEd now, if you got in. Hope you find the choice that best suits you! Cheers!
  3. Yes peach! Mine came on the 14th as well, and I asked them and they said its 3 weeks from 14th, not including that one! So hope that makes you feel better! And alas, it is true that you were freaking out for nothing! But better to be safe, than sorry right!? So no worries!
  4. Ummm... I checked with OISE Graduate Admissions and they said for folks living in Canada, the last acceptance date is April 4th, not March 28th! So chill you guys! Nonetheless, I'm sure peach was just looking out for us all, so thanks for caring bud! Also, I decided to accept the MA program! So see ya'll in September! Cheers!
  5. When I read this I had a mini-heart attack! I called OISE Graduate Admissions immediately and they said, the last date is April 4th! Not, 28th March! *Phew* Nonetheless, I'm going to go to OISE personally tomorrow, and hand that acceptance in! Btw, decided to accept MA, so hopefully two MT spots open up for the rest of you! Cheers!
  6. Yea cg08! It could be likely that your acceptance letter will be coming in later! *Fingers crossed* Good luck bud!
  7. Hey MAMT, I asked folks at MT, and they said that if you wanna continue with doctoral studies then you need to do a more extensive research project. Also with CSE you gotta do a QRP (Quality Research Paper), which counts at OISE and some other universities (Canadian/American) but many universities do require an actual thesis for their doctoral programs, so you might not be eligible to apply there with the QRP. So that might limit us a bit. Still deciding which one to choose; it's kind of a doozy! Guess, it'll boil down to what age group we wanna teach!? Or if we wanna pursue research as a career option =) Kinda leaning towards MA atm, though!
  8. Thank you cg08! And the date on the letter was March 14, 2014. Good luck to you all! Cheers
  9. Got my official acceptance letter in the mail. I guess, everyone should receive theirs soon enough. I do live in Toronto, so maybe that's why I got it early? Good luck!
  10. Just got my acceptance in the mail for J/I and I/S! Probably gonna go with I/S! Hope everyone got their acceptances too! Cheers!
  11. I was interviewed on the 19th of Feb as well, and I'd applied to the I/S and J/I category. So I think the 19th was a day when there were a lot of interviews for all 3 categories. It really was on an industrial scale (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating but it was a lot of people - interviewers and interviewees). But, since someone recently got an interview, people who haven't gotten one needn't lose hope! Wishing everyone good luck for when the results come in! Cheers!
  12. I had something between high 70s and low 80s. But, I had loads of experience, including some volunteer experience teaching abroad. So, that might have helped. If, unfortunately, you don't get in this year, don't lose heart! Just take it as an opportunity to find more teaching experiences in Canada or abroad and beef up your resume! Still this isn't something to consider yet. You haven't been accepted, but you haven't been rejected either. So hope for the best, and prepare for the worst. Good luck and don't lose hope!
  13. Hey RebaK I did have an interview in February. But don't worry yet because if people who applied to multiple programs accept another offer, then spots would open up in MA. So, stay positive! And congratulations missy and peach! See ya'll in September!
  14. Ditto! Got a call today and the program liaison let me know that I was accepted into the program. So, do keep close to the phones whose numbers you've given to the department. Best of luck to you all! And see you in September MAMT!
