  1. Hi everyone, since we are in early April, all of us started to get the results of our applications. Here are my resullts: Admits: UCLA (MS no funding), RPI(RA), Boston(TA), CU Boulder(TA + Fellowship), JHU(TA) Rejects: GATECH, Purdue, Princeton, WashU I will be very grateful if you can help out with my decisions because April 15 is coming up. Financially, I got the best offer from Boulder, but I dont know its reputation in ECE. I got an admit from UCLA, but does it really worth the tuition I will give to school. Also I dont know the pros and cons of each school very well. If you have any idea about any of these schools, please feel free to post them here.
  2. guys its coming late march and i am becoming really anxious about not seeing a JHU ECE poster at resutls. have any international applicant received a decision result (except fellowships) from JHU like TA or RA?
  3. guys so sorry about MS admits (including me) but I received an email from my initial advisor that this year financial aid is not possible for int'l MS students.
  4. Well I was admitted to MS in UCLA EE (altough my aim was phd). I emailed EE admissions coordinator and she replied back as: Financial awards have not yet been released. They are being finalized as I type. We expect all awards to be emailed in the next 3-5 days. All students will be notified once all financial awards are released. I received this message yesterday. Also do anyone has any idea whether they'll fund (at least partially) any MS students this year?
  5. I got an admission offer from ucla for ms leading phd altough my aim was direct phd. (email says that i can apply for phd after finishing ms). the thing i'm gonna ask is that is there any GRA positions or financial aid available for MS students whose aim is to pursue PHD at UCLA? or was this admission due to UC's financial situations, so that they can get some tuition money from MS students?
  6. Hi everyone, Up to this date I've received no response from Hopkins, I applied for PhD starting Fall 2010. Did they start sending out decisions for ECE applicants? Anyone heard back from this school?
  7. could you share your profile with us?
  8. well if you dont care about funding and want to raise your gpa and a few pub.s, you might give europe a try. you might apply to univ.s like epfl, kth, tu munich or aachen maybe or you may look at italy and spain(i dont know exact university names but i've heard of a plenty of good uni.s there). i know epfl is very reputative in nanotech, but you know these do not get phd app.s maybe you can apply them for masters and raise your gpa etc. there and apply back to US for phd. best of luck in your app.s!
