  2. I have no words to describe how I feel right now. A simple refusal without this glitch would have been much better. I will simply follow my father's advise and join a finance degree at HEC, Paris. Anyway, it's 7pm on a Friday night in the eastern part of the world. Time for me to hit some tequilla and salt !! A big congrats to all those who have been accepted at IHEID. And all the very best to those who are still under consideration. Ciao
  3. @ 35 guests, and 4 an anonymous users- I would really appreciate it, if you could let is know, whether you are facing similar mismatches too or not?
  4. Graduate Institute - Application update in my case, not admission.
  5. I thought I was gonna pop champagnes tonight, but seems like I will confine myself to my room with my jar of whiskey, once this is all sorted out
  6. I hope they will have to create extra spaces for us. This is unacceptable, by all means.
  7. Well since the portal says email is binding, I hope, they will have to accept us all to save their faces:p
  8. Okay. This is bizarre. I got an email saying that I have been accepted. However, my online portal says I am refused. :/
  9. Another point, if you are looking for Masters in International Economics, you can also work on and improve your STATA/SPSS Skills. You could probably work as a RA under a professor from Macro-economics.
  10. In my opinion, you could work on your GRE. A good GRE Score can compensate to a great extent if you say you have poor math background. Besides, I am assuming that you are a fresh undergrad, so work on ECA's. ECA's matter a lot for an undergrad student. No point comparing ourselves to people with extensive work ex, it's like comparing apples and oranges. My advice - GRE. And if You think you need more ECA's, do it. Besides, you can try your hands at some undergrad research, emphasize a bit on final year thesis. ( You took courses in Micro, and Macro, so you don't really need to worry about a poor math background. You would have done enough applications of calculus there. After all, you don't wanna be a mathematician, but proficient in application of Maths, so your 3.9 GPA is good enough ) All the best
  11. "Tonight, there is gonna be a fight, so if u need a place to go....." Is what keeps playing in my head, as I anxiously wait for my IHEID result !! Good luck to all the applicants

  13. Wow. That's great. Looks like I still have a lot to learn, I am just an Undergrad and I expect to graduate in 2014. Can some one please enlighten me about the class profile at IHEID( basically, the proportion of fresh undergrads)? Thanks
  14. Amazing idea Mych. I think it's too soon for me to post it, but well, I think posting it is probably the best way to keep my eyes off the follow up page. 16. I hope region wise is not the case, though it seems so!! :/
  17. Anyway, Congrats everyone who got their offers And All the very best to all those who are still waiting(such as me).. ( It's a long way (wait) to the top if you wanna rock n roll )! \m/
  18. Ah!! Same here, second round applicant. I am sick of being a part of this hot or not being played by a few faculty members with my applications now. Can't keep it up with the anxiety now. Lol And as far as your theory goes, - I just hope it's completely flawed. Lol.( don't mind me saying that haha, after such a long wait, I would not wanna read that theory in the last possible 48 hours of my acceptance ) I would like to think that they are picking up the applications randomly, and thus mine has been delayed.
  19. Hello Everyone! I have been following this thread on a regular basis. But this is my first post here. I thought I could cope up with my anxiety by simply reading it online, but apparently, I can't. I have applied for IHEID, MDEV program, and my application is still under consideration. Anybody here whose application is still under consideration for MDEV?? Thanks.
