I'm pretty sure Georgetown has the better reputation, and American is only a little cheaper. I'd recommend looking up the faculty members and checking out their CVs. Which school has professors more experienced in your desired career path?

Hi everyone, I'm an intended MPP or MPA, and I've been accepted to both NYU Wagner and Georgetown McCourt. I've received a 10k scholarship from Georgetown for this year, but I'm hoping for more from NYU (they haven't sent out packages yet). Which school is better? Wagner's ranked 6th for the MPA, but I think Georgetown has a better reputation overall. I'd like to focus on either international development or social policy, and I'm hoping to work for the UN or a governmental agency. Thoughts, opinions, experiences??

One year later, and I have the same question! Tribesdude, which decision did you make and are you happy with it? I'm debating between McCourt and Wagner. I'm also interested in international development, possibly working for the UN. But also I'm interested in domestic social policy. I haven't received a financial package from Wagner yet, but I did get a scholarship to Georgetown for 10k a year. Thoughts?
