  1. Hello! I have a question for those attending McGill. Have you heard back from them after accepting their offer of admission? Thank you in advance!
  2. Thank you for your reply! You are completely right. I made a pro.con list too, and it's not helping me. My biggest dilemma is whether I should continue my studies at McGill and avoid further debts, or I should go for a new university and fresh perspectives. I wanted the second the more, but now I'm reconsidering again. Still on the fence... P. S. Where did you get the information that U of T is ranked 10th in Canada? I couldn't find any ranking for Canadian SLP programs!
  3. Thank you for your reply! Yes, you are right, I'm talking about University of Western Ontario. I actually did my undergrad at McGill, so going to UofT or Western would be a change of perspective for me. I'm really torn between staying and leaving. I'm not sure how McGill is known internationally (by people in the field) compared to other two schools. Also, because of political issues in Quebec, I'm afraid that McGill will be "that used to be a good school" type of school. Neither programs offered me funding and staying at McGill would save me thousands of dollars. But attending a new university and settling in a new city is a hard-to-let go chance of self growth. I have to make the decidion by April 8th, and I'm still on the fence now...
  4. Hello! I got accepted into McGill, UofT and Western. I seriously don't want to decline any single one of them, but I can only pick one Please help! Let me know which one would you choose and why please Thank you!!!

  6. lol, I applied to those bc I could only get that much prerequisites done before my application Best of luck to you too! P.S. What's your first choice?
  7. Thank you VancitySLP, kats, Esselpy and others!!! Congrats to beaschwa and kk.! To those still waiting, hang on in there, good news is still to come. To VancitySLP: It's kind of a late reply, but my GPAs are from ORPAS, and are out of 4.0. For those of you who applied to several schools, if you got more than one acceptances, how would you choose? Like what aspects would you consider?
  8. Hi everyone! I just started to frequent this forum a few days ago when I was desperate for some news about acceptances. This is my first time applying to SLP programs, and I chose UofT, Western, and McGill (mainly because of the prerequisites). Yesterday, I finally got an email from McGill titled "significant decision made". I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw "congratulations! You have been accepted". Even now I still have this irrational fear that it might just vanish somehow... Anyways, if any of you are interested, I have a cGPA of 3.87 and sGPA of 3.91. I've started volunteering in health/rehabilitation related areas since 2006, but I've got only15 hours with a registered SLP. It's really nice to see that all these nice people would likely be my future classmates and colleagues
