So I was accepted into the Food Science Master's program at the University of Minnesota about a month and a half ago. However, they require that an adviser say that they are willing to work with you before you are officially enrolled. Of course, I sent out emails to the faculty that I thought I would work great with due to their research interests and....I haven't heard back. At all. I resent an email two weeks ago after a month had elapsed and I still haven't heard anything. I realize that professors are busy and everything and I don't want to just keep sending emails and emails but I don't know what else to do. I don't live near the school so I can't just stop and pop my head in (not that I would do that, I feel like that'd be rude) so I'm just panicking that somehow my emails got lost in their inboxes or something.
Has anyone been in a situation like this before? Got any advice? The U of M is my ideal place and kinda my last shot at getting into graduate school so I'm starting to get more and more freaked out.
