  1. I'd be interested in learning about this, too. I am from Jacksonville and would not mind moving back there. And I would assume it would be slightly less competitive to enter than other programs in the state. After graduating from this program would we have all the rights and abilities as we would from an accredited school?
  2. I'm about to start my second bachelors through an online program. It appears to be a relatively small program (compared to what I've heard about USU)... so it seems possible to form some sort of relationship with the professors. I've had the thought of emailing my professors at the beginning of the semester for advice on things like how to stand out and what I would need to do for them to be comfortable writing a LOR. What do you guys think about that approach?
  3. That is amazing! I've been quietly following your journey and have never been so happy for someone I've never met! My stats are similar to yours and your perseverance gave me the courage to pursue this field and start my 2nd bachelors. Way to go... You truly deserve this!!!!
  4. Hi everyone! I was just accepted into a 2nd Bachelors program and will start in May. I was just wondering if it is worth it to join NSSHLA or other groups (like my state's ASHA org)? I noticed that around the time I finish this program there is a conference about two hours from me. I was thinking it would be beneficial to attend but was not sure if this is something worth mentioning in a SOP? I plan on spending the next year gaining as much volunteer and hopefully relevant work experience as I can. I do not have one strong selling point (like a great GPA) so I am hoping to pull together as many small points to become a well-rounded candidate. Also, any other advice for this next year would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
