  1. Just so everyone could find the facebook group, here's the link www.facebook.com/groups/632231113530586/
  2. Congrats twinguy7!! You honestly deserve this!! Thank you for being supportive throughout the whole process. I know you will be an amazing SLP one day!!
  3. From what my professor told me, according to the state your grad school is in, they will set you up for process of certification in that state. If you plan on attending school in Florida, it is recommended that you get you CCC in Florida so that it will be easier to apply for licensing in NY. NY is considered one of the stricter states when it comes to getting certified. Without having your CCC, you might need to take extra tests/ classes to prove you fulfill the NY requirements. My professor told me it took her 3 months to get certified in NY while having a Pennsylvania license. One tip is to make sure you keep all your transcripts and copies of your paperwork because when applying for a license in NY, it probably will require transcripts dating back to your undergrad. Hopefully this help!!! Good luck with everything!
  4. Congratulations to all of you!!! You all deserve to get in and worked so hard to achieve this! @schnecke, do you know if you are definitely accepting the decision since its your first choice?
  5. Before applying to Adelphi, Manhattan Campus, one of the graduate admission advisors informed me that you will have to travel to Garden City campus 2-3 times a week to work on your clinical placements. So, you will need to travel out to Long Island a few times during the week regardless doing Sunday classes at the city. This is one of the reasons why I didn't apply to the Manhattan campus. Hopefully this help!!
  6. I applied early in January and I know their deadline was on March 1st. So, they are probably still going through the applications as we speak. I'm crossing my fingers for all of you!
  7. I recently got accepted at SUNY New Paltz as well and will love to know more about this program. Someone should start a Facebook group for accepted/attending students.
