Thank you so much... Both of your posts are very helpful. It seems like getting your license in NY is more of a pain than other states I guess.
Thank you!
I am wondering what the process is in terms of going to graduate school in one state and practicing as an SLP in a different state. For example, if I went to grad school in Florida and get my first job in New York, what is the process I have to go through to get my license as an SLP now in New York?
Is there an additional test? A fee? Any info would be helpful! THANK YOU!
I was wait listed at Columbia. What do people know about this program? I have heard that people love it and of course it's expensive but what do people know about it? Are the students still competitive after being admitted or does that go away? Also, is the coursework more challenging than other programs?
Any info is helpful! Thank you
thank you speechb14 and congratulations on your decision. all of this information was really helpful. i see that you got funding from MGH as well..where can i see that information online?
do you know generally how much it costs per year?
thanks
I was just wondering how the open house was yesterday at MGH. I was unable to attend due to a family wedding. Any information that you learned about the program or anything you heard from students that you are willing to share would be helpful. Thank you so much!
What have people heard about this school? Is it easy to do external placements in Manhattan? I hear it has a good reputation. Any information you are willing to share I would really appreciate.
Thanks
What do people know about Columbia University? I've heard great things about the program but does anyone know specifics? Is it significantly more challenging once you're admitted? Are the faculty helpful? Are students willing to work together or is it still a competitive atmosphere once you're in? I was wait listed here and am still trying to figure things out. I want to weigh the pros and cons of every program before choosing.
Also, do they ever offer funding or scholarships because this school is extremely expensive.
Any info is helpful! Thanks so much
Thoughts about these two programs? I've heard great things about MGH and haven't heard much about Northeastern. Any thoughts are helpful..thanks!
*still haven't heard from Northeastern with an admissions decision
