I have received admits for MS CS from UCLA, TAMU and stonybrook. My area of interest is Approx Algorithms, graphs... basically anything to do with algos and theory.
based on usnews ranking and some research -
CE Rank CS Rank Per year cost ($) Funding possibility
UCLA 13 13 44k very less
TAMU 25 51 25k good
Stonybrook 46 34 24k average
I have to decide between (high cost && rank) of UCLA Vs (lesser rank && cost) of (TAMU || Stonybrook). It would be very helpful if people from this univs can give me some suggestions. Any general opinion will also be very helpful.
Also the mail which I got from Stonybrook said I can accept only one offer from only one university. I thought that such condition is there only for offers with funding... Can anyone clarify on this?
