Yep, I shouldn't of included the 654! All the rest are definitely listed as FELLOW STIP - NSF... And, yep, I just called the financial officer (I had been emailing him with no response.) The July payment will be released today! (we usually receive it the week before the 1st) That'll make $34k for the year!

Those of you posting that you received the 'additional' 2k..have you calculated the total received? I also questioned the $34k listed in our status page but..all in all..I received the $2k and it still totals $32k. 11 payments of $2666.67 (July 2014-May 2015) 1 payment of $654.77 (Aug 2014..not sure what this random number is..but maybe everyone got it?) 1 payment of $2000.00 (May 2015) Thoughts? Am I missing a payment somewhere?

I think it's different from the NSF setup because the DoD facilities are the final decision makers. Since they all probably submit their decisions at different times, even though they probably have the same deadlines, it makes the award offers more of a lump thing..and also might explain why certain disciplines hear together...who knows..

Ok, so I just looked up info from past years and it looks like there's a trickle of acceptances. The site goes from nobody being able to log in to people who were awarded being able to log in small amounts at a time...that's mainly how people found out. Emails didn't go out for several days. Anyone find something different? If not, I guess we'll just keep trying to log in occasionally!

Does anyone know the typical announcement time for it from previous years? Like the NSF is usually in the middle of the night after the site goes down... Also, did anyone apply for the SMART as well? I know there's a forum for it, but I like this forum better...is there a blog for it on here? i just figured if you applied for NDSEG, you probably applied for SMART..

Yeah, which is why my hopes dwindled..because I'm up against experts! Second year..first time.

yeah, if you apply the senior year of bachelors..first year grad school..and second year grad school....and that just made my hopes dwindle even more to think I'm up against pros at this point. haha

jeu is..kind of..right, you can apply for the last time going into your second year. So, 1 complete (academic) year of grad school.

Yeah, if they'll be released tonight, it prob won't go down till later on. But...If it's not down by 8 or 9, I'd say it won't be till Friday.
