  1. At least you got an email! You will get your decision in no time. Best of luck to you!
  2. I know what you mean I feel the same way. I actually called and left a vmail yesterday inquiring about my app status. Shortly after, I received a vmail saying that they were supposed to have all decisions out by the 25th, but because of unforeseen circumstances they were not able to meet the deadline. Now they don't really have a timeframe, but they hope to have all decisions in ASAP.... She also said that I should continue to check my email...
  3. Don't worry there is still time!
  4. Sadly, we are in the same situation. But, all hope is not lost. It seems as if they are doing exactly what they did last year. Last year's applicants waited for a very long time. So let's not be discouraged. I will try to keep this updated. I think it's nice to have some sort of idea of what is going on and also knowing that I'm not the only one going through this lol.
  5. I'm so nervous. This has been the longest wait ever!
  6. I heard that we should be getting emails on Thursday *fingers crossed**
  7. See I wish that UCONN's MSW program had a general concentration! I chose to concentrate on Group Work. I've submitted my application months ago, but I am kind of wavering towards Casework now...
  8. Yes, I completely agree. If I get into this master's program I will be going into a completely different field. I need the experience along with the theory. I am a "hands on" learner and I think that I will benefit greatly from my 560 hours of required field placement.
  9. Thank you for your comment. Most people have expressed these same ideas. Clinical skills serve as a great foundation for future exploration in the field, whether it be more of an individual approach or group based.
  10. I applied to UCONN and they sent an email a couple of weeks ago regarding this topic. It stated that the financial aid office encouraged applicants to fill out the FAFSA despite the fact that it's due date had past. So give it a shot! Also, this is the first year that FAFSA considered me to be an "independent". I think that all graduate students are considered independents, but I could be wrong. The application also gave me the option to enter my parent's financial information. Hope this helps...
  11. I know that this question depends on a person's personal convictions and interests, but I am interested in hearing your thoughts. Please let me know your experiences with whichever concentration you are studying. How has it helped you in the work field?
  12. SADLY, I have yet to hear from UConn! Hopefully I hear something soon.
  13. patiently waiting...

  14. Are you still waiting for acceptance?
  15. Are there any Fall 2014 applicants waiting for acceptance?
