I got a vague email first just telling me to call the IIE office at my earliest convenience and they told me over the phone.

Just when I was starting to give up hope and apply to other programs, I got the call--my (A) has turned to (P)!!!!!!!!! South Korea here I come! Hope this serves as some encouragement to all you other alternates out there!! Keep holding on!!

Sooo...just throwing this out there because I know that there is a ridiculous wealth of knowledge on this forum: Does anyone know what the likelihood of moving from an Alternate to an Accepted in Korea has been in past years? Also, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone accepted so far!! To those accepted for Korea ETA, I really really really hope to see you in Korea this year! And of course my condolences to those not selected; but do not lose heart! If you really want to teach in Korea there are so many other opportunities! Good luck to you all!!

Alright South Korea--let's make today the day!! But seriously though. My school spams me with about 20 emails per day, and I'm not a math person, but I figure that's equated to about 90237912359872 mini heart attacks over the past few weeks. At least, it certainly feels that way. I don't know how much more waiting I can handle!!! I'm so glad to have this forum though, it keeps me sane. Well, sane-ish....
